A Community Feast and Live Music Event in Lewes, Saturday 24 May 2025

Community Chef, Diversity Lewes, and Culture Connect Project CIC are thrilled to present the World Food & Music Jamboree, a vibrant celebration of multiculturalism, community, and connection. Taking place on Saturday, 24th May, at the All Saints Centre in Lewes, this unique event will bring people together for an evening of food, music, and cultural exchange.
The event will feature a community-cooked feast, where attendees can experience a rich variety of flavours inspired by global cuisines. Following the meal, guests will enjoy an evening of live music, headlined by renowned Gambian artist Ansumana Susso, alongside a special guest DJ, promising an unforgettable night of rhythm and celebration.

“Our intention is to make this event inter-generational and break down barriers by celebrating our differences. This event will be a testament to the power of food and music in uniting communities. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the diverse cultures that make our community so special.”
Anthony Kalume of Diversity Lewes and Director of Culture Connect Project CIC.
“Human beings have always cooked and eaten together communally. In a world where food has become increasingly transactional and moneyterised, we are delighted to be able to host a free feast that will bring people from diverse cultures together to share food and in so doing, to encourage cohesive and healthy communities,”
Robin Van Creveld Community Chef
