What are Bread Clubs?

What are Bread Clubs? – Bread Clubs are generally a social activity where enthusiasts meet to bake bread together while sharing resources, experience, skills and knowledge

Bread clubs can also function as micro-businesses where members pool resources, bulk bake and sell or share out the bread to extended members or subscribers.

Some Bread Clubs are home based while others use outside facilities such as underused commercial kitchens, community or school kitchens.

Why start or join a Bread Club?

Real Bread is expensive to buy but inexpensive to make

Making bread together is a nourishing, rewarding and fun activity which helps us to improve our general cookery skills and confidence.

Regular meetings encourage social interaction which builds trust and friendships

Bread Clubs fundamentally help tackle food access, affordability and social isolation issues
