Community Chef has been featured on the BBC’s Radio 4 The Food Programme. The show is about
Founder and director Robin Van Creveld said: “When Sophie Anton from the food programme called me asking if I’d consider being on a show they were making about older men learning to cook, I was super excited.
“It’s my favourite programme on the radio and a bucket list aspiration. Sophie spent the day with us and spoke to several of our regular students about their experience of learning to cook, aging and bereavement.
“To have them come and interview me and some of our students and take a wholesome view of men in the kitchen was an honour. We were featured alongside two other amazing projects helping older men to cook: Men’s Pie Club in the Northeast and Age Concern Barnett. ”
Cliff and Ron, two of our regular Man With A Pan students, are on their way home after a morning of cooking and talking about their experience of bereavement, learning to cook and socialising.
Man With a Pan is ongoing and our next set of courses starts on 25 February in Lewes. You can book a place here
