In these trying times we are pleased to be able to offer online cookery courses for isolated and vulnerable people. Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund we are able to offer low cost, subsidized places on courses and workshops starting in July 2020: Courses and workshops are run via Zoom and we able to offer some support with using the online technology.
Man with a Pan – beginners cookery courses for older, isolated and vulnerable men. These courses are run for small groups and cover basic cookery skills as well as everyday nutrition for ensuring a healthy diet. The sessions feature a combination of demonstrations, discussions and cook-along activities. We use our own tried and tested recipes and participants receive a half price copy of our recipe book
Vital Skills – cooking for the prevention and management of diabetes. This course is suitable for beginner and experienced cooks who want to learn to prepare low-carb, wholesome and delicious food that can help prevent or manage type 2 diabetes. You will learn a portfolio of vital, seasonal and delicious dishes, snacks and baked goods. The course features a combination of demonstrations and cook along activities as well as nutritional advice, coaching and support.
Kitchen Fundamental – a series of interactive workshops on fundamental kitchen and cookery skills. An opportunity to learn essential tips and techniques from professional chefs and bakers that will help you to refine and improve your cookery and baking skills. Participants will receive recipes and supporting information in advance of the workshops and a half price copy of our recipe book. The format for these workshops is demonstrative with lots of time for questions and answers. These workshops are suitable for beginners and enthusiastic cooks.
